Frankie Sandford has confirmed she is expecting a baby boy

Saturday's singer Frankie Sandford has confirmed she is expecting a baby boy after her bandmate Mollie King let the cat out of the bag.

The 24-year-old star, who is expecting her first child with her footballer fiancé Wayne Bridge, announced the sex of her unborn child by posting an image of baby boy clothes on her Instagram account.

"Having so much fun getting my little dude's clothes together! A little boy to add to the @thesaturdays crew! Can't wait to meet the cheeky monkey!" she captioned the snap.

It will be the first male addition to the Saturdays family. Una Healy's and Rochelle Humes' both have daughters.

King, 26, had inadvertently revealed the sex of the baby before her DJ debut in East London.

She told Hello! magazine: "We're all very excited and can't wait to meet him. It will be nice to have a little boy around," she added.

Sandford announced her pregnancy in May, shortly after saying she planned to get married.

She told her one million Twitter followers: "Some big news from me today. Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both so happy and can't wait for his or hers arrival."

Former Manchester City left back Wayne, 32, who has just been signed to Reading, already has a son with French model Vanessa Perroncel.
