Scandal Season 4 episode 3 titled Inside The Bubble airs tonight (9 October) and the episode will have Olivia Pope and Jake right back in the shrewd and ruthless world of DC politics.

The upcoming episode's official synopsis also teases a potential new issue for Mellie Grant and the introduction of 'an old friend':

"An old friend (Sonya Walger) returns for help after her daughter goes missing, Cyrus has an awkward run in during a business breakfast, and Jake uses his connections to get some answers. Meanwhile, Mellie becomes obsessed with a national news story and David goes to great lengths to prove himself," reads the episode 3 synopsis.

According to Hypable, Mellie's 'obsession' could be over the media paying attention to her – a plot line introduced last week. "We presume that David proving himself will concern securing the offer of Attorney General," speculates the report.
