Fulham have announced the signing of Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

The England international has signed a three year deal with the Cottagers after his role in the Spurs team became untenable following the summer arrivals of Paulinho and Etienne Capoue at White Hart Lane.

Parker, who had spells at Charlton, Chelsea, Newcastle United and West Ham United before his two year stint in north London, will now begin his season with his fifth London club as Martin Jol's seventh signing of the summer.

"I'm delighted that Scott has joined us," Jol told the club's official website. "He's a midfielder who works tirelessly for his team and is a fantastic player both on and off the ball.

"It is wonderful to see a player of his stature playing for Fulham football club as he has shown his qualities in the Premier League and for the England team for many years.

"I'm happy that he's here and joins for training ahead of our first home match of the season."

The 32-year-old had also been heavily linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers where he would have been reunited with former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp.

The R's manager revealed last week the Championship outfit had a bid for Parker accepted, but the midfielder has opted to remain in the top flight and make a move to Craven Cottage.

"I'm delighted to be joining Fulham and I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates at training tomorrow morning," Parker said.

"Fulham is an established Premier League club and I look forward to trying to help the team progress even further over the next three years."

Parker played an integral role in the Tottenham midfield during his debut campaign at the club in the 2011/12 season where he made 34 appearances under Redknapp, but endured an injury ravaged campaign last year where he lost his spot in the first team as Sandro and Mousa Dembele became Andre Villas-Boas' first choice pairing.

The midfielder joins Darren Bent, Adel Taarabt, Maarten Stekelenburg , Sascha Riether, Fernando Amorebieta and Derek Boetang as the new arrivals at Craven Cottage this summer.
