Secrets And Lies season 2: Mekia Cox joins the cast as Amanda Warner; is she a suspect in Kate's murder?

Secrets And Lies season 2 has signed Mekia Cox to play the role of Amanda Warner, the sister of Eric Warner played by Michael Ealy.

ABC has retained Juliette Lewis as the only cast member from season one.

According to Deadline, Ealy will play the character of Eric Warner, a well-educated and hard working young man and heir apparent to his family's private equity firm in Charlotte.

He has just got married to Kate and is attending a party to honour his father passing over the reins to him. However, tragedy strikes his almost perfect life when his wife Kate is murdered.

In order to solve the complicated case, he hires Detective Andrea Cornell who has already solved the Tom Murphy murder mystery.

In the previous season, every member of the cast excluding Cornell, was suspected of committing the crime. Enstarz suspects that Cox's character Amanda will also be a suspect in the murder of Eric's wife when the show returns for another season during this fall.

ABC's anthology crime drama received a great response for its first season which was about the complicated murder case of Tom Murphy.

Detective Cornell investigated the case and Ben Crawford was initially thought to be the prime suspect. The series kept its fans on the edge throughout season one due to the shocking revelations and its tragic conclusion.

Secrets And Lies season 2 will air on Wednesdays after Nashville's mid-season break during the 2015-16 fall schedule.
