SRK
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Happy New Year Red Chillies Entertainment

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's upcoming release - Bajirao Mastani may clash with her mentor and Chennai Express co-star Shah Rukh Khan's next biggie, titled Dilwale. Could this lead to an unpleasant situation between Padukone and the man who launched her Bollywood career? Well, the actress recently spoke about her current equation with SRK and quite diplomatically, pointed out his significance in her life.

"I have never been intimidated or scared when it comes to him and I give him the credit for it," she said in her recent interview (via Business of Cinema). "You know there are always those few equations in everyone's lives that you build along the way and you know that you can rely on those people. You can trust them and rely on them to be there if you're ever stuck or confused about anything in life. He is definitely that person in my life. I think that's how the relationship has evolved."

According to BoC, Padukone rubbished all rumours regarding the 'box office clash' between her and SRK at a recent press event. She also spoke about the advice Khan gave her about doing films in Bollywood:

"There are certain things that you learn along the way just by observing people. I remember him telling me, 'Whatever film you do, make sure you have fun'. This thing has always stayed with me – doing films where I know I'm going to enjoy myself and where I'm going to enjoy working with the people I am working with," she said.

As per FilmiBeat, when reports of this rumoured 'clash' surfaced a few weeks back, Padukone jokingly tweeted "Challenge accepted." However, SRK reportedly did not take this response very well and sensing that, she deleted the tweet.

The report also quoted what an alleged source told a "leading publishing house" - "Competitiveness is one thing. But you cannot have this attitude towards the man who gave you a break and made you a star. SRK was not happy with her attitude, but he is not the kind to make a public display of his emotions. He launched her and he even set an example with Chennai Express when he insisted that his leading lady's name come ahead of his." Well, clash or no clash, Bollywood fans are definitely looking forward to both these films which are slated to release by the end of this year.
