Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows is one of those rare sequels which turn out even better than the first part. The film which had Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law reprising their roles as Holmes and Watson respectively, was a major box-office success. No wonder fans have been eagerly waiting for news on part 3.

Well, Lionel Wigram, producer of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes films recently revealed that a script for the third film in the franchise is currently being developed.

"We're working on a Sherlock Holmes 3 script" Wigram told IGN while promoting his latest collaboration with Ritchie - The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

"I think we would all love to do one if we could come up with something that really was really going to knock it out of the park and was going to be the best of the three. So we're working on that – it's quite hard to do."

Wigram also stated that both Downey Jr and Jude Law are "very, very" interested in returning for the third film.

While Downey is currently busy with the production of Captain America: Civil War, Law is filming Ritchie's next - Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur.
