The curvy model is the new face of underwear store Ann Summers after winning 22 percent of a public vote

In a victory for curvy woman everywhere, a plus-sized model has become the face of Ann Summers after winning a competition to find a 'real woman' to front its new lingerie campaign.

Curvy Lucy Moore, beat her slimmer rivals to be crowned the winner after securing 22 per cent of the public vote.

The 20-year-old student from Portsmouth was selected from more than 4000 girls to clinch the coveted prize.

Although slim and sexy finalists proved worthy competitors, Lucy's curves, confidence and flawless skin helped her come out on top.

She will now front the underwear chain's Valentine's Day campaign which will launch in store windows across the UK on the 19th January.

Talking to the Daily Mail, she said that she hoped the win would give her the platform girls encourage younger girls aspiring to be models.

She told the newspaper: "Hopefully it will be an inspiration to other curvy girls and give them confidence.

"I want to represent women with a curvier figure and show them that you can be sexy no matter what your size or shape," she added.
