SmackDown results: John Cena fights Dean Ambrose while Dolph Ziggler squares off against The Miz

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown Live saw an exciting line-up of matches, including a fierce fight between Dean Ambrose and John Cena. Dolph Ziggler faced The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship while Randy Orton squared off against Erick Rowan. The event was aired from Birmingham, Alabama on 20 September.

Dean Ambrose vs John Cena

The match saw Dean Ambrose and John Cena exchange blows from the start. However, in the end, Ambrose defeated Cena after the former blocked an Attitude Adjustment and rolled Cena up for the pin.

Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz (WWE Intercontinental Title Match)

During the match The Miz got stunned after Dolph Ziggler carried out Zig Zag on the former. The Miz tried to leave the match with his title but Ziggler stopped him as the latter smashed the former into the steel steps. Ziggler pulled The Miz into the ring but got sprayed in the face while the referee wasn't looking. Next, The Miz carried out the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

The Usos vs American Alpha (#1 Contenders Match)

The Usos came won the match when Jey nailed the splash on Gable from the top.

Apollo Crews vs Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin cornered Apollo Crews into the ring post with double boots and then carried out the End of Days for the win.

Randy Orton vs Erick Rowan

Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan with the RKO.

Naomi and Nikki Bella vs Carmella and Natalya

Nikki Bella and Naomi won the match via disqualification as Carmella pulled Bella out of Natalya's Sharpshooter and started delivering punches.
