Bloodborne The Old Hunters

Sony and From Software has announced the first expansion for hit PS4 action title Bloodborne. Called The Old Hunters, the expansion will be released worldwide on 24 November 2015 for £11.99 / €14.99 /

An Old Hunters Edition containing both the original game and its expansion will be released in Japan on 3 December. European and North American release details have yet to be confirmed. A trailer showing off some of the new weapons and boss fights was also shown, and can be watched below.

PlayStation Europe's blog confirms a few details about the expansion, saying...

Set in a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards and deadly beasts to overcome. You'll find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your arsenal as well as additional magic to wield and add more variety to your combat strategy.

With new story details, learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their hunting grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne. Here's a brief glimpse of just some of what lies in store for you when The Old Hunters launches on 24 November, including Simon's Bowblade weapon, and new boss enemy Ludwig.

Bloodborne was released in March 2015 and will be considered by many the game of 2015 come the end of the year. The gothic hack-and-slash game is the spiritual successor to From Software's most famous title, Dark Souls and shares many of its characteristics.

Sony also produly announced that the game has sold over 2 million copies worldwide since its launch.
