The Sound of Change concert was held at Twickenham on Saturday evening, with Beyoncé Knowles leading a cast of some of the biggest names in music in a fundraising effort for the Chime for Change campaign.

Chime for Change is a global campaign, founded by Italian fashion house Gucci and headlined by Knowles, Hollywood diva Salma Hayek-Pinault and Frida Giannini, Gucci's Creative Director. According to the organisation's website, Chime for Change is a "global campaign to raise funds and awareness for girls' and women's empowerment".

The note continues: "Chime for Change serves to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world. We focus on three key areas: Education, Health and Justice. Chime for Change is powered by Catapult, the first crowd-funding site where people can make real change happen for girls and women. Through Catapult, nonprofit organizations post their projects and people can find and fund the issues that speak to them the most."

Star names at the event included pop icon Madonna, Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Freida Pinto and Hollywood actors Jada Pinkett Smith, Blake Liveley, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Chastain, James Franco and Gloria Steinem.

Prince Harry was there in spirit as well sending his support via a videotaped message.

The line-up for the Sound of Change concert included Jennifer Lopez, Florence + The Machine and both Beyoncé Knowles and her rapper husband, Jay-Z.
