South Park RPG The Stick Of Truth Has Finally Gone Gold

Eagerly anticipated RPG South Park: The Stick of Truth has gone gold and will be released on Friday 7 March.

Ubisoft confirmed n a press release earlier today that development on the game, based on Comedy Central's long-running adult cartoon, had concluded.

The game was originally set for release in April 2013 but was delayed until the end of the year following the collapse of publisher THQ, with Ubisoft subsequently buying the rights to the game.

It was then delayed a second time until early 2014. The delays were even referenced in the show's Black Friday trilogy of episodes based on the console war between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game has, ironically enough, not been announced for release on those next gen devices.
