Southampton will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the weekend Premier League clash at St Mary's Stadium on 25 April.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 12.45pm BST. Live coverage is on BT Sport 1. Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live. Catch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10.30pm BST.

Overview

Southampton come into this game after their 2-1 away defeat at the hands of Stoke City in the last league fixture. The defeat has ended their hope of qualifying for the next season's Champions League.

Ronald Koeman will be hoping his side can bounce back when they take on the north London club at home on Saturday. The Saints will be hoping to finish the season on a high with a victory over the clubs above them.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino returns to St Mary's Stadium for the first time since swapping Southampton for Tottenham last summer. It will be interesting to see what kind of reception the Argentine manager will receive from the Saints fans.

However, the focus will not be on the Tottenham manager, but the players on the field. They have had mixed results in the last few games and Pochettino will be looking for three points when his side take on his former club.

What Managers Say

Ronald Koeman: "We know every game is important and okay, if Arsenal win the FA Cup, the seventh place is also the last European qualifying place to play the qualification round. And the distance between the eighth [Swansea City] behind us is nine points. That seems to be enough, but we try to finish in the highest position in the table."

Mauricio Pochettino: "I don't want to be popular. I want to be an honest person and do my job. I will expect nothing special. This is not easy for them and difficult to understand the decision. I never had an opportunity to explain but this is football. But the decision is done. We don't need to explain. The most important thing is that Southampton are having a great season and we are here and I am happy to be here and that is the best thing."
