Alvaro Negredo is enjoying his time at Manchester City more than ever after he scored his second hat-trick of the season against West Ham to leave his team on the brink of the Capital One Cup final.

The Spaniard is proving to be one of the finest strikers in the Premier League since moving from Sevilla last summer after City paid approximately £20m to secure his services.

He has already scored 18 goals in 29 games and has forged impressive partnerships with the currently injured Sergio Aguero and in recent weeks with Edin Dzeko.

The two were in devastating form as City dismantled West Ham 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium to all but confirm their place in the first final of the season, as Negredo struck a hat-trick within 49 minutes and Dzeko bagged a brace.

Negredo believes that he can do even better, but he admits he is currently enjoying the the best form of his career.

"I am in a great moment. I wish to have better ones but probably I am living the best moment of my career," Negredo told Manchester City's official Spanish website.

"We have a big squad and the team has lot of confidence to win trophies.

We know that if other team want to beat us at home they have to play really well.

Negredo's partner Edin Dzeko was also in fine goal scoring form against Sam Allardyce's side and the Spaniard is delighted about their blossoming partnership.

"The partnership with Dzeko has been really good. With great players it is very easy to play, we are always looking for each other.

The partnership is working very well. He gave me a great assist and we always look after each other, and that's the important thing and it is best for the team, whoever plays."
