Disney wants Star Wars 7 director to helm the last film of the latest trilogy Disney/Lucasfilm

Star Wars 7 is yet to release a fully fledged theatrical trailer of The Force Awakens, but rumours have it that it may be released on 16 April by director JJ Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy, who are scheduled to kick start the Star Wars Celebration fan convention in California.

Initial reports suggest that the much awaited teaser of the blockbuster franchise will be attached with Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere in order to get the maximum attention. However, Yahoo suspects that Disney will reveal the trailer much before that in order to avoid a "dodgy cam footage leaking on the web".

The previously released 1 minute 28 second teaser gave fans skimpy details about the space adventure thriller, and now fans are awaiting for a complete trailer to see their favourite characters including Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca.

Classic characters of the movie were nowhere to be seen in the previous teaser, but the upcoming 1 minute 20 second trailer as per its leaked description, opens with a shot of the desert planet and a destroyed AT-AT on its side.

A leaked description by the Latino Review website speaks about alien character Lupita Nyong'o opening the trailer as the voice over, while a Cloaked figure (probably Luke) appears standing on stone steps of a lush green hill.

Meanwhile, Making Star Wars had last week revealed that the opening scene description featuring Daisy Ridley's Rey and John Boyega's AWOL Stormtrooper, speaks a lot about the plot of the Lucas film spectacle.

Rey and AWOL Stormtrooper will inherit a severed hand holding a lightsaber and it is from there that their journey begins to hand over the lightsaber to its true owner Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars 7 is the first of a new trilogy and stars cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker alongside Andy Serkis, Max von Sydow, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson along side newcomers British actor John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
