Being Apple's 'creative flagships', both the 4.7in iPhone 6 and the 5.5in iPhone 6 Plus naturally carry exorbitant price tags which could discourage a section of users, especially those looking for the affordability factor, from buying the latest smartphones.
Various carriers across the world have announced exclusive pricing for both Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Most notable among these carriers is US-based Verizon which is offering the iPhone 6 at $300 along with a two-year carrier contract.
Now, US-headquartered prepaid wireless service provider Boost Mobile has announced a 'bonanza' of a prepaid offer for customers looking at buying Apple's iPhone 6 and the larger iPhone 6 Plus.
Boost Mobile has announced that starting next Friday, people can purchase the Apple iPhone 6 at reduced prices. The reduction is as high as $100 in comparison to the actual retail pricing of Apple's creative flagship devices.
Boost Mobile's 'Prepaid' Offer
People preferring to purchase through Boost Mobile need to keep in mind that Boost's latest offer is a 'prepaid only' one, wherein customers are required to pay the total price of the smartphone in one go. Customers also get to choose various prepaid plans for their devices, which require recharging by creating a prepaid account and transferring money to the account.
Also, Boost Mobile does not offer contracts unlike other wireless carriers which require customers to subscribe to customised carrier contracts.
Given below is the cost of an unlocked 'Prepaid' Apple iPhone and iPhone 6 Plus on Boost Mobile, from 17 October:
5.5in iPhone 6 Plus:
- iPhone 6 Plus 16GB: $649.99
- iPhone 6 Plus 64GB: $749.99
- iPhone 6 Plus 128GB: $849.99
4.7in iPhone 6:
- iPhone 6 16GB: $549.99
- iPhone 6 64GB: $649.99
- iPhone 6 128GB: $749.99
An unlocked Apple iPhone 6 costs $750 (£466), whereas a contract-free iPhone 6 Plus is available for $850 (£566).
Apart from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Boost Mobile is also offering Apple's older iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C at reduced 'prepaid' prices.
iPhone 5C is available (on Boost Mobile) for $450, whereas the iPhone 5S is available for $200.
Is Boost Mobile's 'Prepaid' offer worth considering?
Yes, if you prefer a straightforward pricing (without hidden costs) when you buy your iPhone smartphones.
Also, with Boost's prepaid offer, you get to save a few hundred dollars of your hard-earned money, when you purchase an off-contract iPhone 6 via the 'prepaid' mode of payment.
