The investigation into the murder of Rev. John Suddards has led to the arrest of a Stephen Farrow, 47.

The British police had launched a nationwide manhunt after Rev. Suddards, 59, was found stabbed to death at his vicarage in the South Gloucestershire town of Thornbury on Tuesday.

"Early this morning, on our behalf, Kent Police arrested Stephen Farrow on suspicion of the murder of the Reverend John Suddards in Thornbury last week. His arrest follows a nationwide appeal for information which we released yesterday. I would like to thank the public and all those who have helped us to find him.It was as a direct result of assistance from a member of the public that we were able to locate this man and we would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude," Detective Chief Inspector Simon Crisp was quoted as saying by SkyNews.

Farrow was arrested in Folkstone, after the police received information about his whereabouts from the public.

Meanwhile, a BBC report also said police had arrested an unidentified 43-year-old man in connection with the issue but he was released, without charge, on Saturday. They also revealed they had seized a white Citroen van from a property about a mile from the vicarage late on Tuesday night.
