Stephen Hawking has sure achieved some of the greatest and rarest of feats in astrophysics, but there is one wish the 74-year-old is still hoping to realise. The professor wishes to become a "pop culture icon".

Well, that's not it. As ironic as the wish sounds, the theoretical physicist feels the best way to achieve the same is by making an appearance on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
ABC's World News Tonight anchor David Muir asked Hawking about his role in the pop culture scene. To which the astrophysicist jokingly said, "I won't feel like a true pop culture icon until I've been on the Kardashians."

Hawking, who is considered one of the greatest scientists in the world, has previously appeared on a few TV shows including Futurama and The Big Bang Theory. But the revelation of joining the Kardashian and Jenner ladies will sure make him a pop culture icon, at least for fans of the show and the scientist.

Meanwhile, Kris Jenner and daughter Kim Kardashian announced 1 May as the premiere date for season 12 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It remains to be seen whether the ladies of Calabasas will fulfil Hawking's wish of making a guest appearance on the show.
In season 12, the model's brother Rob Kardashian will make a comeback on the show, although it is still unclear whether his fiancée Blac Chyna will accompany him or not.

A promo released by E! shows the momager hugging her son Rob while welcoming him home. "Do you love it? Do you love it? Do you love it?" Jenner said.

The show will also mark the return of Lamar Odom, who was seen spending some quality time with Khloe and Kourtney – at Kanye West's fashion show Yeezy season 3.

KUWTK season 12 will premiere in the US at 9pm on 1 May on E! It will premiere in the UK a week later
