BT said on Thursday it was in the process of cutting 10,000 jobs, as it reported second-quarter core earnings and revenues just ahead of revised forecasts.

BSkyB added 87,000 net new customers in the first quarter, above expectations, and said it was well positioned to cope with the challenging environment.
