Viola Davis says she had "heart palpitations" and nearly "suffered hearing loss" while filming for Suicide Squad. The How To Get Away With Murder actress plays US intelligence officer Amanda Waller, in charge of assembling the squad of villains in the movie.

When asked how crazy the movie gets, Davis told E News: "Just put it this way, it got so crazy that there were times during filming that I had heart palpitations. Not only heart palpitations, but at one point I said, 'Did I suffer from hearing loss? Why is my left ear still pounding?' That's all I can tell you."

"That's all I can tell you. Or would have to kill you," she joked.

Davis also praised the entire cast performance in the movie. "Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, I mean everyone, every single person in it gets to be completely insane, because all the characters are insane. They're bad guys. We're all bad guys. Amanda Waller is ... a bad guy, bad girl. We're not nice."

The plot synopsis for the movie also has a lot of details about Davis's character. Here is the movie synopsis:

It feels good to be bad... Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. US intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realise they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

The movie stars an array of supervillains like Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Adam Beach as Slipknot.

Suicide Squad is set for a worldwide release on 5 August 2016.
