American singer/songwriter Katy Perry put on a sensational show during the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show held at the University of Phoenix Stadium on 1 February in Glendale, Arizona.

The 30-year-old sang some of her greatest hits, including Roar, Teenage Dream, California Gurls, and concluded the electrifying show with Firework.

Perry also shared the stage with Lenny Kravitz and Missy Ellliott.

Along with a number of costume changes, Perry, as promised, filled the stage with fake sharks and lions.

Perry's performance created a buzz on microblogging site Twitter.

Ahead of the extravagant show, Perry took to Twitter to share an old photo of herself as a child.

During an interview with Billboard, Russell Brand's estranged wife, shared her thoughts on the big performance.

"I want the show to be quintessential Katy. It's like the exclamation point on the whole last cycle. This is the cherry on top of everything I've already done," she said.

"Everyone has been asking me if I'm going to be nervous before the halftime show. I'm like, I'm f**king human. This is the biggest event of my career," she added.
