Supernatural season 11
Supernatural stars Misha Collins, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki The CW

New details of the filming of Supernatural season 11, along with the release of the first trailer online, have surfaced.

Producer Jim Michaels has shared the episode list of season 11 on Twitter and teased that the first eight episodes have already been mapped out.

According to the Michaels, the cast of Supernatural will start filming, before making an appearance at this summer's San Diego Comic-Con.

This comes as good news for Comic-con fans, as the first footage of the Winchester brothers battling Darkness may be shown at the convention, since season 10's first trailer featuring Demon Dean was also released at the same event last year.

According to a TVLine report, the Supernatural panel at SDCC would feature Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard.

They will be joined by the show's executive producer Jeremy Carver and apart from answering questions for season 11, the cast and Carver will reportedly give a video presentation on the highlights of the series and showcase some special features for the upcoming "Supernatural: The Complete Tenth Season DVD and Bluray release," the report reads.

Premiere Date speculations

While a specific return date has not been announced officially as yet, the past three seasons have premiered in the beginning of October, so it's likely that season 11 will follow suit.

Season 10 premiered on 7 October 2014, season 9 premiered on 8 October 2013, given the show's Wednesday time slot, the 11th season could also premiere on Wednesday, 7 October, Wednesday 2015.

Here is what Jim Michaels had to say when he was asked about the premiere date of season 11.

The season 10 finale left Sam, Dean, Castiel and Crowley in a dire situation. The Winchester brothers are enveloped by Darkness, and the angel is struggling to fight Rowena's guard dog spell that compels him to kill the King of Hell, in the episode titled My Brother's Keeper.
