Andre Russell's six from the last over of the match helped West Indies beat India in the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 clash at the Wankhede Stadium on 31 March. Lendl Simmons, who was given multiple reprieves, remained unbeaten until the end on 82 as his side sealed a seven wicket victory.

Simmons was caught twice but off no-balls from Ravichandran Ashwin and Hardik Pandya, then had another slice of luck when Ravindra Jadeja caught him in mid-air but the fielder's foot came down on the boundary marker and the umpire signalled a six.

Virat Kohli continued his fine performance with the bat as his unbeaten 89, accompanied by openers Ajinkya Rahane (40) and Rohit Sharma (43), helped India post a total of 192 for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs. However, that was not sufficient for the 2007 T20 World Cup champion as they were knocked out of the tournament in the semi-final.

England, who defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final, will take on Darren Sammy's team in the final of the T20 World Cup at the Eden Gardens on Sunday (3 April). Both the Three Lions and West Indies have won the tournament in the past and for the first time, there will be a double T20 World champion on Sunday. IBTimes UK has complied some Twitter reaction after the second semi-final clash.
