TaiG 2.1.0 untether jailbreak update available: How to fix Cydia Substrate issue on iOS 8.3 [Video] TaiG

Avid iOS jailbreakers are in for some great news, as the highly-anticipated TaiG 2.1.0 untether jailbreak update has appeared online with fixes for the Cydia Substrate issue on devices jailbroken on iOS 8.3.

This is really surprising, considering the fact that it has been just two days following the release of TaiG 2.0 untethered jailbreak for iOS 8.3, and the jailbreak community has already found the fix.

Another noteworthy point is that the TaiG 2.1.0 update also fixes the Cydia Substrate compatibility issue as well as resolves another redundant issue, wherein users were getting stuck at 20% during the jailbreak process.

Users must note this is not an official release by the TaiG team, although it is almost certain that the team will be updating the existing jailbreak tool for iOS 8.3, before releasing the same to the public.

Those who cannot wait for the official release from TaiG may go ahead and download the TaiG 2.1.0 fix for Cydia Substrate issue from here, and then install the same manually, using the video tutorial or the step-by-step guide posted below.

Step 1: Install iFile from Cydia

Step 2: Force quit Cydia

Step 3: On your iOS 8.3 device, go to download link provided above

Step 4: Tap the TaiG 8.3 Untether.deb download

Step 5: Select open in iFile

Step 6: Hit Install

Step 7: Reboot the device once the installation completes

Update 1: TaiG has taken down the download links of v2.1.0 and v2.1.1, saying these files were meant to be for internal testing only and can cause issues with icons disappearing on home screen.
