Taylor Swift has reportedly told friends she thinks she's "in love" with Tom Hiddleston. The 26-year-old, who has been in several high-profile relationships, has reportedly been telling friends she has "never felt this way before."

The pair caused a sensation when they were first spotted kissing on the beach near the Love Story singer's Rhode Island home and they have been inseparable ever since. The latest romantic date saw the celebrity couple looking loved up in Rome as they strolled hand-in-hand taking in the sights before sitting down to a cosy dinner for two.

The couple was oblivious to onlookers as they shared a passionate kiss, while Tom only had eyes for Taylor. The 35-year-old British actor's charm was in evidence as he showered the US singer with affection, kissing her hand.

Like any young couple in the first throes of love, Taylor and Tom took selfies and snapped pictures outside the world famous coliseum Mail Online reports.

A source told E! that the singer is head over heels and is said to have opened up about her feelings for Tom texting her closest friends to say "I think I am in love and I never felt this way before!"'

It's the latest public outing in their recent travels as the pair has been spending quality time together, with getaways to Rhode Island, New York, Nashville and the UK. And while Taylor is renowned for giving her heart away quickly, news that she and Tom had already met one another's families, just weeks after meeting for the first time themselves, has raised some eyebrows.

Taylor introduced the Night Manager actor to her parents during their trip to Nashville, and she met his mother while in Suffolk last week. And apparently, the blossoming romance has won the approval of Tom's mother.

"Tom's mom is just gushing about Taylor," a Hiddleston family source told People. "She thinks Taylor is the loveliest. She was so happy to meet her. Taylor was almost immediately part of the family," the source added. "She was very easy to get to know and to speak with. Tom's family sees him as a big celebrity, but Taylor is clearly on another level."

"They were just trying to have as much normality as possible," another insider said. "They had the most normal family weekend you could possibly have."

The pair first became acquainted when they were seated at the same table at the Met Gala and a video of them hitting the dancefloor together quickly went viral. Just two weeks after breaking off her relationship with DJ Calvin Harris, it was clear that Swift had already moved on.

The source added that Taylor has been swept off her feet by the charming Englishman. "She is having a blast traveling with him. He is very romantic and attentive towards her. He is extremely charming. He also makes sure she feels safe wherever they go together. She is on cloud nine and really enjoying this quality time they are spending."

Swift has become as renowned for her romances as for her chart-topping music, having had a series of high-profile relationship with stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Connor Kennedy and Harry Styles.

Hiddleston, who is hotly tipped to be the next Bond, has had a string of romances with high-profile personalities including his I Saw The light co-star Elizabeth Olsen, 26, and Sherlock actress Lara Pulver. He was also linked to Crimson Peak co-star Jessica Chastain in January 2013 and was in a relationship with Susannah Fielding for four years.

And while the British actor usually prefers to keeps his relationships private, the Bond hopeful appears to have also been bowled over by Taylor. When asked by reporters if he was dating the singer he said simply: "Yeah man."
