Kerry Katona spent the weekend celebrating her upcoming nuptials to fiancée George Kay.

Kerry Katona is preparing to walk down the aisle for the third time after accepting her lover's marriage proposal.

The 32-year-old reality star showed off her engagement ring on Twitter for the first time since George Kay popped the question.

Sharing her news with her 227,000 followers she tweeted: "Think I'm gonna need a sling to carry my arm in my hand is so heavy hehehe #happiestgirlintheworld @mrgsjkay xxxx [sic]", and linked a snap of her huge diamond ring on her marital finger.

The former Atomic Kitten singer spent the weekend celebrating after announcing her big news.

"I'm thrilled but a bit overwhelmed by it all," she told the Sunday Mirror.

"I was totally in shock about it, especially as I knew nothing, but my girls knew what was going on.

"There were roses and champagne and George got down on one knee. It was the most romantic thing in the world. I am so happy."

Her news comes just weeks after she denied rumours that Kay, 33, was planning to pop the question during a trip to Dubai.

A spokesperson for the mother-of-four told the Daily Mail: "The rumours are untrue. Things are going well with George and Kerry, he is a top lad, great for Kerry and great with the children.

"However, they are not rushing into anything other than looking forward to their first holiday together. It's far too early to be talking about things like marriage proposals and weddings."

Katona, who has been dating Kay for eight months, was previously married to former Westlife star Brian McFadden and taxi driver Mark Croft.

Among her children, Molly, 10, and nine-year-old Lilly-Sue are from her marriage to McFadden, while Croft is the father of Heidi, five, and three-year-old Max .
