The Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations continue as the Queen today made a visit by train to Nottingham.

The Queen smiled warmly at the hundreds of children who had turned up. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge accompanied the Queen on her visit. In the absence of Prince Philip who is still unwell.

And in a scene reminiscent of the grand Buckingham Palace appearance at the Jubilee weekend, the Queen ,Prince William and Kate beamed at the massive crowds below, who sang the national anthem in a sea of red, white and blue flags.

After the market square appearance ,the royal party then travelled to Vernon Park, where the prince made his official jubilee tribute. He thanked the Queen for her "extraordinary love and devotion", during a Diamond Jubilee visit to Nottingham.
