Romford had the wind on their side on Tuesday (17 November) as they drew 1-1 at home to Thurrock in the Isthmian League Division One North, the eighth tier of English football.

Thurrock defender Kamarl Duncan attempted to clear the ball from midway in his own half but the wind made it loop back into the direction of his goal before bouncing over goalkeeper Rhys Madden in the 22nd minute.

Madden was attributed with the goal as he did get his finger tips to the ball as it went over his head. The bizarre goal gave Romford the lead but Thurrock pulled level in the 74th minute courtesy of Ross Wall.
