Tim Boetsch will take on Dan Henderson in the five-round main event of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night 68 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on 6 June.

Where to watch live

The Main Card event starts at 3am BST (Sunday, 7 June). Live coverage is on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport app. Live streaming of the link is available on UFC's official website. The fight between Tim Boetsch v Dan Henderson is set to start at 5.30am BST (Sunday).

Overview

This fight was initially scheduled between Daniel Cormier and Ryan Bader. However, Cormier replaced Jon Jones in UFC187, where he defeated Anthony Johnson. Bader was pulled out of the event entirely and a middleweight bout between Boetsch and Henderson was scheduled.

Henderson managed just one win in his last six fights and what was of more concern was that he lost the last three bouts by stoppage. The veteran will be looking to bounce back when he takes on his compatriot in UFC 68.

It is for the first time that Boetsch will take on Henderson in his career. He grew up watching the 44-year-old fight and it is an honour to be pitted against the MMA legend for the main event on Saturday.

What they say

Tim Boetsch: "It's incredible. (My) first main event, and to be fighting Dan Henderson is such an honor. It's an incredible thing to be a part of this fight. Like I said, fighting Dan Henderson in and of itself is an honor. But to put that in the main event and really be the spotlight of the night is something to really appreciate."
