Toni Kroos rejected a last-ditch improved offer to renew his contract at Bayern Munich before completing his £20m move to Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Kroos, who had one year left on his contract at the Allianz, turned down an offer by the German giants to improve on his original salary increase request to join the La Liga club.

Kroos's agent Volker Struth told Allianz bosses that "Toni is not going to renew -- and is not a matter of money."

The midfielder started to feel undervalued at the Bavarian club after winning the treble under Jupp Heynckes, being overlooked when it came to contract renewal talks.

And even though the star and his agent denied earlier this week reports claiming his future will not be decided until after the World Cup as saying "there is no agreement or Real Madrid or any other team," the deal is reportedly indeed all but done.

Although it will not be made public until after the Brazil tournament as the player wants to remain focused on helping Germany in the tournament.
