Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea striker target Pablo Osvaldo has fuelled speculation over his future by reportedly travelling to London with his girlfriend, while his club Roma was playing its derby match with Lazio.

Tuttomercato reports that Osvaldo, who was suspended for Roma's clash against archrivals Lazio at the weekend, sought to make the most of his time off by flying to the English capital, especially when the player has been linked with a summer move to London outfits Chelsea and Tottenham. The striker has had an impressive season thus far, scoring 11 goals in 23 Serie A appearances, so as to keep his club in the hunt for European football next season.

Osvaldo's relationship with his club has deteriorated of late and it is understood that Roma are interested in letting the player go for as little in £8m. The new will interest both Chelsea and Tottenham, who are both in the market for a striker.

The European champions are looking for a replacement for the misfiring Fernando Torres, while Spurs need a backup for Jermaine Defoe, who has been struggling with injuries this season. However, Andres Villas-Boas has confirmed the north London club will look to recruit a forward only if they finish in the top four.

Meanwhile, Osvaldo had recently revealed his admiration for Real Madrid, stating that to play for the La Liga giants would be a dream come true. Madrid also remain linked to the striker but are yet to make any official approach.

AVB Hails Individual Performances

Villas-Boas has stated that he is pleased with the individual performances demonstrated by his side in their 2-2 draw against Everton on Sunday. The north London club dropped two crucial points at home, to give the onus back to Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for the top four. Spurs have dropped to fourth, level with Chelsea and two points ahead of Arsenal, having played a game more.

"There were some good individual performances. We have players out and that gives other players the opportunity to step up. We saw Lewis Holtby step up a level, Gylfi Sigurdsson is increasing his form, Emmanuel Adebayor has been impressive and is back to his goalscoring ways, Tom Huddlestone and Tom Carroll both did well when they came into the game. I think this is a stimulus for everyone, it means we have players we can count on and that may be a decisive factor," the manager said.
