Wesley Sneijder's proposed move to Man Utd could be back on.

Eric Cantona, speaking ahead of Paul Scholes' testimonial against the New York Cosmos has urged Sir Alex Ferguson to sign Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder. The Dutchman has been linked with Manchester United all summer and it is believed the midfielder will meet with Inter Milan chiefs after Sunday's clash with AC Milan.

Eric Cantona has told Manchester United to sign Wesley Sneijder because the Dutchman reminds him of himself. "He reminds me of myself," Cantona said, speaking at the London launch of a book on iconic US side New York Cosmos, where he is now director of soccer.

"Sneijder is an excellent player. He is what Manchester United needs. There's no-one like him right now. He's strong. Sometimes he reminds me of myself," the Manchester United legend added.

Manchester United target Paulo Henrique Ganso, dubbed the 'new Kaka' has been told he can leave Santos but not just yet. Santos are remaining firm on their stance of proposed sale to Manchester United claiming that the will not allow the midfielder to leave this summer but he will get the chance to turn out for Sir Alex Ferguson's side in the future.

Ganso's release clause is believed to be set at around £25million, but as has been the case with Neymar throughout the summer, Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro insists Ganso is not for sale.

"Ganso isn't leaving Santos," Ribeiro told Terra. "I had a conversation with him and he said he was committed and I thanked him and praised his behaviour. He still has time to move in the future," he added.

Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has been told he will have to make the decision as to whether he leaves Old Trafford this summer. Rumours are continuing to circulate that the Bulgarian will joining PSG this summer after Sir Alex Ferguson said the forward could leave Old Trafford this summer.

French newspaper Le Parisien has claimed that the French Ligue 1 side will hold talks with Berbatov next week, claiming that the French club will not have a problem meeting the players wage demands. The deal will hinge on whether Dimitar Berbatov wants to leave Old Trafford.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Newcastle United are set to bid for Manchester United flop Gabriel Obertan. The French player has had a difficult two years at Old Trafford and has struggled to make an impact since his arrival from Bordeaux two years ago.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is said to want to sign a winger this summer and will give Obertan the chance to show English fans what he is capable of. The newspaper claims that a deal could be done, where Obertan joins Newcastle on loan for a year with a view to a permanent deal the season after. The French winger is said to be keen to end his Manchester nightmare after two failed seasons at the club.
