All of the latest transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea for 25 August 2011. Chelsea are said to be ready to make a bid for Alvaro Pereira and will also pursue Luka Modric until the transfer window closes. Florent Malouda is linked with Chelsea and new signing Romelu Lukaku will be sent on loan to Stoke in January.

Sky Sports understands that Juventus are ready to make an offer for Chelsea winger Florent Malouda.

The France international is said to be on the radar of the Italian giants after Chelsea invested in Juan Mata and at 31 he is not considered as part of Andre Villas-Boas' future Chelsea plans. Juventus are said to believe they can sign the player at a knock down £5m price.

Sky Sports reports that Malouda has been a long term target for the Italian side but Malouda has said that he wants to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge this season.

"I love Chelsea. I'm settled here and want to win back the Premier League," he told skysports.com.

"I like the competition and I'm ready to fight and keep my place in the starting line-up," he continued.

Sky Sports has also reported that Harry Redknapp has said that Luka Modric could be scared for a long time mentally if he fails to win his move to Chelsea this summer.

"We can all sit here and say 'he'll be right' but we don't know what is in his head," explained Redknapp.

"Who knows? None of us know how he is going to feel. That's the risk you run. But he is here and he has to go on with it, for his own good," Redknapp added.

Chelsea are said to be ready to make a third offer for the Croatian midfielder after having two sizeable bids rejected for the player but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy insists the player is going nowhere.

The Sun reports Thursday that the Tottenham chairman is said to want to hold the talks to clear the air between himself and the player and convince the Croatian his future lies at White Hart Lane. It comes as Tottenham say they will reject any improved offer for the talented Croatian.

Andre Villas Boas is said to be ready to invest heavily in Porto left back Alvaro Pereira according to the Guardian.

Chelsea reportedly had a £16.5m offer rejected for the player and Andre Villas-Boas is said to be ready to improve the offer by some £10m. The player who can play at left back or in midfield is being lined up to increase competition in the Chelsea squad as well as bringing a fresher element to the side. Chelsea are said to be confident of landing the player who Villas-Boas knows very well from his time at Porto.

The Metro claims that Romelu Lukaku will be loaned to Stoke City once he settles to life in the English Premier League.

Chelsea are said to be working with the Belgian international to help him settle to life in England and once that initial process has been completed he will be allowed to join Stoke on loan in January. Sport 360 in the United Arab Emirates has claimed that Benfica are also keen to loan the player but Chelsea are said to want Lukaku to gain Premier League experience.
