AC Milan has once again been rumoured to be interested in scuppering Barcelona's attempts to sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. The Arsenal skipper has his heart set on a move to Barcelona but the European champions have not offered the £40m that Arsenal want for the player. AC Milan are said to now be ready to throw their hat in the ring and at worst force Fabregas' price up.

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has said in recent weeks that it would be impossible to sign the Spaniard but in recent days AC Milan has started to look at the possibility at making an offer for the midfielder. Reports in Italy claim that Cesc Fabregas is not interested in a move to Italy but could Milan's interest could spring Barcelona into action.

Roma have confirmed the signing of River Plate attacking midfielder Erik Lamela. The Argentine is said to be one of the hottest properties in South America and Roma has continued their summer spending spree. The Italian side has confirmed the signing of the create midfielder for a fee of £12m, in a deal that sees River Plate receive add ons as Lamela progresses at the club.

The deal has been in the pipeline all summer and Roma have now made the transfer official scuppering attempts from PSG to land the players signature. Lamela has signed what is said to be a lucrative five year contract and will link up with his new team mates immediately. Lamela joins Gabriel Heinze, Bojan and Maarten Stekelenburg as Roma's summer spending goes past the £25m mark.

Juventus are said to be in talks with Hamburg winger Eljero Elia. The Dutchman could be ready to move to Turin and the two clubs will meet this week to thrash out a deal. Hamburg has told Juventus that they want £8m for the player, a figure Juventus are set to match.

Juventus will discuss the potential deal this week in meetings in both Italy and Germany and look to have stolen a march on both Chelsea and PSG who are rumoured to be interested in the talented winger.

Inter Milan are said to be ready to sell Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United in order to fund a move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez before the end of the transfer window.

The Metro claims that Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder will decide on his future by the end of next week. It was believed that the Dutch international would join Manchester United this summer but according to the newspaper Manchester City is now ready to hijack a deal.

However, Sneijder has been coy on his future. "I can be very brief about the interest from Manchester United and City: I haven't spoken with either of those two clubs, so I can't really say much about my future at the moment," Sneijder told Voetbal International.

If Manchester United can make a deal work with both Inter Milan and Sneijder, reports in Italy claim that Inter Milan will use that money to fund a move for Carlos Tevez. The want away striker returned to Manchester City's training complex on Monday morning but is still said to want to leave England. Inter Milan will look to beat Real Madrid to the deal and land the Argentine striker but Inter Milan officials are getting frustrated at the length of time the deal is taking to complete and feel they could lose out of Real Madrid up their offer for the player.
