Inter Milan Transfer Rumours: Drogba, Forlan, Lucio, Sneijder and Tevez Reuters

All the latest football transfer rumours from Inter Milan for 17 August 2011. Inter Milan are said to be ready to bid for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba but have been told there is no chance they will get Diego Forlan. Inter President Massimo Morratti has said that Wesley Sneijder will stay at the club but has ruled out a move for Carlos Tevez. Inter Milan has confirmed that Lucio has extended his contract.

The Daily Mail has reported that Inter Milan has confirmed they are looking into the possibility of making a loan move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian striker has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge ever since the arrival of Fernando Torres from Liverpool in January and the Italian giants have said they are prepared to offer the 33 year old a move away from the capital. The newspaper claims that if Inter Milan is able to sell Goran Pandev, they will offer £6m for the striker in a bid to cover the loss of Samuel Eto'o.

Atletico Madrid chief Executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin has today reiterated his club will not listen to offers for Diego Forlan.

The striker has been linked with a move to Inter Milan but Atletico say unless Inter Milan but the players minimum release clause, which Inter Milan are unprepared to do.

"Atlético will not listen to offers for Forlán," he said. "We have already sold Aguero and are not thinking of getting rid of Diego this year."

However, sources in Italy are suggesting that if Los Rojiblancos are successful in their bid for Porto´s Radamel Falcao then they will be prepared to let the 32-year-old leave. According to Corriere dello Sport Gil Marín said: "We are interested in Falcao and close to concluding a deal. If we manage to sign the Colombian we may then listen to offers for Forlán," he added.

Also, the same newspaper reports that Forlán himself has told a Turkish newspaper that "it is true I have had an offer from Inter Milan and to play for them would be a dream."

Inter Milan has also confirmed that Brazilian centre back Lucio has signed a two year extension to his current deal that will keep him at the club until 2014.

There was talk that Real Madrid was looking into the possibility of signing the 33 year old but the club has confirmed that Lucio will be staying at the San Siro.

Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Inter Milan President Massimo Morratti has said Wesley Sneijder will be staying at the club.

Morratti has described Sneijder as 'untouchable' and has confirmed that Inter Milan will keep hold of their star player this summer.

"There have never been any kind of talks about Wes. Sneijder was untouchable before the situation with Eto'o and he has become even more so now Eto'o could leave. Sneijder is going nowhere."

The Sun has reported that Carlos Tevez will not be joining Inter Milan this summer.

The Argentine striker, who has said that he wants to leave Manchester City, has yet to find a new club with the transfer deadline looming ever near. Inter Milan President Massimo Morratti has said that the transfer is becoming impossible and Inter has pulled out of the running to sign the striker.

"The financial fair play is serious, not a joke - whoever doesn't respect the parameters will be out of European competitions. Will Tevez be the replacement? I don't think we will get him," the Inter President said.
