According to reports on Goal.com Juventus are ready to splash the cash on Chelsea's Brazilian defender Alex.

The Chelsea centre half has come under the radar of the Turin club for most of the summer but so far Juventus has failed to make a bid. However, Juventus are said to have made Alex their number one priority as they look to sign a world class centre half this summer. Their task is said to have been made harder after Alex's superb performance in Chelsea's opening game of the Premier League season away to Stoke but Juventus believe Chelsea may be tempted by a big money offer.

Reports in Italy suggest that Andre Villas-Boas would be willing to allow the Ivorian to leave Stamford Bridge on an initial one season long loan deal with a move to a permanent deal in a years' time.
