Transformers 5
Paramount has previously revealed Decepticon leader Megatron's return to Transformers: The Last Knight Paramount Pictures

Soon after the announcement of Transformers: The Last Knight, Paramount Pictures and the movie's director Michael Bay are teasing on-set images and new characters through their social media posts. The plot of the live action thriller is still a secret but the images of various Decepticons and Autobots have sparked speculation about the grand entry of Unicorn in the movie.

A dedicated fan page, Transformers Cars, has recently posted two pictures of the Transformer and speculated that he might be Unicorn, the arch nemesis of Primus.

"Thanks to Michael Bay we have another look at the mysterious Transformer. Some believe it to be the new Megatron in Transformers 5. The images have by far a lot more detail than seen previously. Who do you think this Transformer is? Megatron or a Herald of Unicron or Unicron himself," the post reads.

The plot of the upcoming movie is hyped as the best of the Transformer series as chief writer Akiva Goldsman previously hinted at digging into the mythology of the popular action figures through comic books and toys.

Previously, a plot leak of the movie claimed that in search of the Creators, Optimus Prime will reach his home planet Cybertron only to find it destroyed. But to bring back his planet to life, he needs an arti-craft hidden on earth.

It remains to be seen how the King Arthur era will be linked to the arti-craft and what role Unicron has to play in all of this. But considering Optimus has gone to outer space, there are chances that he might encounter the ancient Transformers.

Megatron is also making a comeback in this movie but the plot of the film is all speculation as of now considering there is no word from either Bay or Paramount as to how the Decepticon leader was resurrected and how his entry will create an obstacle for the Autobot leader.

The movie is expected to hit theatres in 2017. Mark Wahlberg will return to reprise his character Cade Yeager in the movie. Isabela Moner will join the cast as the female lead.
