British "X Factor" judge Tulisa Contostavlos' sex tape is sure to make news for some time more.

The star, in an eight-page witnessed statement to the High Court, claimed she was drunk when the amateur film was shot.

"I believe I must have been intoxicated at the time the video footage was taken. Now that I can see the video, I can see it is me in it. I must have been very drunk to let my then boyfriend Justin Edwards, who I also know features in the video, take the footage. Justin Edwards claims in a letter to his solicitors that I 'took many pictures and videos of us having sex' and I still have those videos. That is completely untrue," The Sun quoted her as saying.

The X Factor judge, in an earlier 23 March statement, had said: "The commentary on the website says that the video was taken in a public place. I can say for certain that it was not. It must have been in a private dressing room or toilet in a dressing room. My dressing room always had the door locked and there was security outside. It looks like I was at an N-Dubz gig."

It is interesting to note that Contostavlos called former boyfriends to confirm the existence of the tape, when the rumours first surfaced.

"I asked if any of them knew about any footage. They all denied it or trying to sell any. I was unsure whether it really existed. I was, however, suspicious of Justin Edwards. He admitted taking footage of me on his mobile but said he deleted it before he sold the phone. I had, and still have, no recollection of such footage being taken. He became uncomfortable when I asked what the footage was. I was scared someone might have it," she said.

Contostavlos then went one further, accusing Edwards of deliberately taping their relationship, in an attempt to defame her. In fact, she went to on to add he had done it to earlier girlfriends as well and then appealed for the banning of public display of the footage.

Meanwhile, the interesting news here is that despite the leaked tapes, Contostavlos will reportedly be given a hike in her salary as an "X-Factor" judge.

The Metro reports she will double her pay check when she returns to the show.
