Jacintha Saldanha the nurse who unwittingly passed on details of the Duchess of Cambridge‘s morning sickness during a hoax call on Australian radio, has sadly been found dead of a suspected suicide, at an address in central London.

The nurse who had been working at King Edward VII's Hospital for more than four years was placed under the spotlight as she fielded questions from two broadcasters who pretended to be the Queen and Prince Charles, passing on specific details from a colleague , which were then broadcast live over the condition of the Duchess who was undergoing treatment at the hospital for acute morning sickness.

The fall out of the call attracted international publicity and the hospital was believed to be supporting her as she was greatly affected after the incident. In a statement released by the hospital they said "She was an excellent nurse and well-respected and popular with all of her colleagues."

The hoax call is now being widely condemned in light of this nurse’s suicide. So far there has been no response from the Palace or the two radio presenters who carried out this hoax call.
