In a bid to reach out to more people, the global social network Twitter is going to establish an international office in Ireland.
Ireland's Industrial Development Agency, which helps global firms to set up offices in the country to increase jobs, has announced that Twitter will set up an international office at Ireland soon.
Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland, said, "IDA is absolutely thrilled that Twitter has decided to establish an international office in Ireland. Twitter is a fantastic addition to Ireland's dynamic digital media cluster, and we are excited to support the company's continued international growth." IDA did not give the details about the concessions provided to Twitter.
Twitter is an online social networking and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters, known as tweets.
Twitter was established in 2006 by Jack Dorsey and has gained worldwide popularity. Over 100 million active posts more than 230 million tweets per day.
