Eight teams will make it to the pot for the 2014/15 Champions League quarter final draw in Nyon on Friday.

Overview

No English team have made it past the last 16 of the Europe elite club competition as league leaders Chelsea, English champion Manchester City and Premier League giant Arsenal were all knocked out of the tournament.

Chelsea lost to Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint-Germain, while Arsene Wenger saw his side suffer defeat at the hands of his former club AS Monaco. City were eliminated by European giants Barcelona.

Holders Real Madrid made it to the last eight, despite their 4-3 defeat at the hands of Schalke at home. Their local rivals Atletico Madrid, who made it to last season's final have also sealed their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

From the quarter finals onwards, the draw will be open as a team from one association (league) can play against another team of the same association. The first leg will be held on April 14/15 and the return leg will take place a week later on April 21/22.
