The Champions League draw is followed by the 2014/15 Europa League quarter final draw in Nyon on Friday.

Where to watch live

The draw starts at 12pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on British Eurosport. The draw will be streamed live on UEFA.com.

Overview

Just like the Champions League, no English team have made it to the last eight of the Europa League this season. In other words, Premier League clubs have struggled to go further in the European competition this campaign.

Last season's Europa League was won by Sevilla and the holders have made it to the quarter final of the tournament. Liverpool, who were demoted to the second tier of the European competition, were knocked out early along with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds' Merseyside rivals Everton were also knocked out by Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev on Thursday as they became the last English team to go out of the European competition.

The first leg of the quarter finals will take place on April 16 and the return leg will take place a week later on April 23. Just like the Champions League, the draw is open as two teams from the same association can face each other from the quarter finals onwards.

Eight teams who made it to the quarter finals of the Champions League:

  1. Club Brugge
  2. Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
  3. Dynamo Kiev
  4. Fiorentina
  5. Napoli
  6. Sevilla
  7. VfL Wolfsburg
  8. Zenit Saint Petersburg
