FULL TIME SCORES

Young Boys 1-4 Everton

Tottenham 1-1 Fiorentina

Celtic 3-3 Inter

Liverpool 1-0 Besiktas

Inter can spoil the party with Shaqiri lining up a free kick on the edge of the D but Gordon keeps it out with a wonderful diving save! That will be the last of the action as the referee calls time on a pulsating evening in Glasgow.

John Guidetti has equalised for Celtic in stoppage time! Mackay-Steven comes in from the right and feeds Henderson who clips a beautiful diagonal ball over the Inter defence. Coming in from the right, Guidetti takes the ball on his chest and hooks a wonderful volley into the top corner!

FULL TIME

Liverpool 1-0 Besiktas

Goal! Celtic 3-3 Inter (John Guidetti)

We are into four minutes of time added on at Celtic Park. Celtic still pressing, but that telling final ball won't come.

Gulum and his teammates appeal for a handball on Martin Skrtel after the shot appeared to hit his hand, but the ref plays on.

Jordan Henderson has the ball but Balotelli comes over and takes it off him! Doesn't matter much, mind, as the Italian drills into the bottom corner.

Goal! Liverpool 1-0 Besiktas (Mario Balotelli)

PENALTY - Liverpool

Jordon Ibe, who has caused trouble all evening, is felled in the box and the ref points to the spot!

Frei drives through Liverpool but Ba can't bring his through ball under control. Liverpool counter through Sterling, who prods it onto the onrushing Sturridge. It breaks down again, however, as Sturridge takes on a shot (or was it a cross?) from the right that flies over the bar.

Liverpool need a moment of inspiration in these final 10 minutes. Brendan Rodgers has turned to Raheem Sterling to provide it; he's off the bench to replace Lallana.

Balotelli and Sturridge both have a crack at a free kick in the space of a few minutes. Both cause Besiktas no problems at all.

Celtic are pushing for an equaliser put are struggling to find that final ball. Mackay-Stevens breaks down the right flank but his cut back can't find a teammate. Inter fail to clear and the ball falls to Matthews but his shot is blocked.

Lovren's first real act after coming on is being shown a yellow card. Henderson then lifts a straight forward pass out of play.

Meanwhile at White Hart Lane, Harry Kane is for Nacer Chadli. Erik Lamela looks like he is about to join him.

Celtic come forward again and Johansen looks to have the chance to score after a rebound but goes down under pressure from Santon! Was that a penalty? The ref thinks not, and play continues.

Liverpool have introduced Dejan Lovren and Mario Balotelli to try and inspire something.

Liverpool like teeing up Demba Ba, don't they? Can turns around to goal and squares a pass for Mignolet but Ba is lurking. He waits for the ball to reach him, allowing Skrtel to get back and make the challenge. Liverpool aren't doing themselves any favours this evening.

Oh dear, Adam Lallana. Henderson's cross in from the right looks to be a standard catch for goalkeeper Gonen but between him and Pedro Franco they make a right mess of it. The balls falls to Lallana but can only lift a rubbish effort over the bar! The ball did bounce up awkwardly for the former Saints star, but he should have done a lot better.

Bright start from Liverpool as Ibe scampers past a few challenges before laying off to Henderson who finds Moreno in the box. The Spaniard's shot is off target but Sturridge keeps it alive, hooking the ball back into the box but Besiktas clear.

Space opens up for Bitton to take a shot on from 25 yards out for Celtic but it's comfortable enough for the goalkeeper. He launches it back upfield and a wonderful flick from Icardi frees Palacio who is one one one! Coming in from the left he takes the shot on but in the end it is comfortably for Gordon. Should have done much better with that

And we are back underway across Europe.

HALF TIME

Tottenham 1-1 Fiorentina

Celtic 2-3 Inter

Liverpool 0-0 Besiktas

Liverpool within a couple of inches from taking the lead! Moreno is clipped by Gulum 25 yards out from goal and is booked, meaning he will miss the second leg to boot.

Henderson stands over the free kick in the absence of Steven Gerrard and whips a wonderful effort over the wall that seems destined for the bottom right hand corner. Goalkeeper Gonen is rooted to the spot, but watches on as the balldrops an inch wide of his post. That should be it for the first half.

Nick Howson at White Hart Lane

For all Tottenham's dominance it is Fiorentina who will be the happier of the two sides at the break. Hugo Lloris' unconvincing punch hit Savic and came Basanta's way and since that moment the visitors have been far more assured than their opening 35-minute performance suggested they would be. Andros Townsend looks a real livewire in the Tottenham attack but Nabil Bentaleb and Paulinho are being caught ahead of the ball far too often and it's allowing Fiorentina space and time on the counter

Inter have their lead back, and it's a howler from Craig Gordon. Palacio chases down a raking cross field ball from Shaqiri but the bounce appears to take it too far away from him. Gordon is out and leaps to grab the ball out of the air but drops it and the Argentine forward taps home into an open net. So uncharacteristic from the Celtic 'keeper.

Goal! Celtic 2-3 Inter (Rodrigo Palacio)

Jordon Ibe tries to work something for Liverpool out on the wing, striding past Kavlak until he is hacked down. Is it too far out wide for the shot? Sturridge doesn't think so and takes the shot on. Rather inevitably, it sails harmlessly over the bar.

Fiorentina have an equaliser in north London. Joaquin is hacked down by Soldado and Lloris does well to parry the resulting free kick. Tottenham are slow to respond however and Basanta reacts quickest to scuff a shot over the line.

Goal! Tottenham 1-1 Fiorentina (Jose Maria Basanta)

Griffiths takes it for Celtic but bends a poor effort well over the bar. Meanwhile at White Hart Lane...

Celtic meanwhile have a free kick right on the edge of the D. Armstrong did wonderfully well to flick the ball over his marker before being hacked down.

The place is rocking up in Glasgow but we are yet to really get going at Anfield. After Sturridge's earlier effort, neither side have really found an opening.

What a response from Celtic! Moments after latching onto Matthews' cutback to pull a goal back, Stuart Armstrong has scored another and levelled the game, getting onto the end of a big throw in to flick home! The final touch may have come off Inter man Campagnaro but funnily enough, no one around Celtic Park seems to mind!

Goal! Celtic 2-2 Inter (Stuart Armstrong)

Goal! Celtic 1-2 Inter (Stuart Armstrong)

Nick Howson at White Hart Lane

Plenty of eyebrows were raised before the game when Harry Kane's name was omitted from the Spurs starting XI but Mauricio Pochettino appears vindicated already after Roberto Soldado's breathtaking strike after just six minutes. Tottenham have started with the same intensity which saw them swat away Arsenal and Chelsea and at the moment Fiorentina are just surviving in the north London rain."

Goal! Celtic 0-2 Inter (Rodrigo Palacio)

Celtic however are behind in these early stages, with on-loan Bayern Munich winger Shaqiri converting a rebound after Craig Gordon's save.

Tottenham have an early lead! Paulinho swings a corner into the box where Roberto Soldado is unmarked to volley home.

Goal! Tottenham 1-0 Fiorentina (Roberto Soldado)

Goal! Celtic 0-1 Inter (Xherdan Shaqiri)

Brilliant work from Sturridge who jinks his way towards the byline before flicking the ball away from Gulum. From a tight angle, he takes the shot on but Gonen blocks

And we are off underway at Anfield, White Hart Lane and Celtic Park. We'll also have live coverage of tonight's other games which are:

Ajax v Legia Warsaw

Guingamp v Dynamo Kiev

Anderlecht v Dinamo Moscow

Sevilla v Borussia Monchengladbach

Villarreal v Red Bull Salzburg

Nick Howson is down at White Hart Lane for us this evening. Here's a bit more on that Harry Kane-less Tottenham team.

Nick Howson at White Hart Lane"Once regarded as his bread and butter, Harry Kane can't get into the Tottenham team tonight in a surprisingly weak starting eleven for this first leg of the last 32 against Fiorentina. Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela join the in for English striker on the bench.

La Viola are bathed in former Premier League players including David Pizarro, Borja Valero, Stefan Savic, and Mohamed Salah all start, while Micah Richards, Alberto Aquilani and Marcos Alonso are on the bench. Mario Gomez, of Bayern Munich fame, leads the attack."

RED CARD - John Stones (Everton)

Stones battles with Guillaume Hoarau who is cutting in from the left of the box but is penalised and the referee points to the spot and shows Stones a second yellow.

Guillaume Hoarau steps up take it and... MISSES! Rubbish penalty slammed over the bar after a far too causal run up.

Team news ahead of Celtic v Inter.

Celtic team: ordon; Matthews, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Bitton; Mackay-Steven, Johansen, Armstrong; Griffiths

Subs: Zaluska, Ambrose, Henderson, McGregor, Wakaso, Scepovic, Guidetti

Lukaku has a hat-trick in Berne. James McCarthy is down injured but Everton continue and Lukaku springs the Young Boys defence before coolly clipping the ball over the goalkeeper. Brilliant night's work from the Everton striker.

Goal! Young Boys 1-4 Everton (Romelu Lukaku)

There are already six games underway across Europe this evening. Everton have just started the second half of their away game to Young Boys and after falling 1-0 behind, they now lead 3-1 thanks to two goals from Romelu Lukaku and Seamus Coleman.

BREAKING: Raheem Sterling returns to the Liverpool squad tonight and takes a place on the bench against Besiktas.

Liverpool team to face Besiktas: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Allen, Henderson, Moreno, Ibe, Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge

Subs: Lovren, Lambert, Manquillo, Borini, Balotelli, Sterling, Ward

BREAKING: Harry Kane drops to the bench for Tottenham against Fiorentina this evening with Roberto Soldado leading the line.

Tottenham team to face Fiorentina: Lloris (c), Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Bentaleb, Paulinho; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Soldado

Subs: Vorm, Dier, Rose, Dembele, Lamela, Mason, Kane

Raheem Sterling faced a late fitness test today having missed his side's last two games against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace but Liverpool will have to make do without both Steven Gerrard and Lucas who are both still out with thigh problems.

Demba Ba, whose name still rings around Premier League grounds every weekend after his role in ending Liverpool's title challenge last season, is expected to lead the line for Besiktas.

We will have all your confirmed team news coming up shortly.

In years gone by, you could have forgiven managers for treating the knock out stages of the Europa League with caution. Six extra games before you have even reached the semi-finals of the competition, a squad stretched to its limits and draining journeys across the continent all combine to provide a distraction to domestic matters.

Premier League clubs are no stranger to the demanding effects of the added games and have seen their league form suffer as a result, while the likes of Liverpool are fully aware of the advantages of not taking part.

Those factors are still firmly in place this year, but the light at the end of the tunnel in 2015 is far brighter. The promise of a guaranteed place in next season's Champions League should provide the incentive needed for managers across the continent to push for success on Thursday nights in the coming months and in turn, provide the Europa League with the credibility it has lacked.

The draw for the last 32 made back in December produced a handful of compelling ties to get us started again tonight. In this evening's late kick offs we have Liverpool v Besiktas, Tottenham v Fiorentina and Celtic v Inter. Our focus will be across all three games and we will have updates from the rest of the action throughout the night.
