Charts in Focus: London's Finance and Bank Job Vacancies Surge
London's financial services sector is clearly continuing to hire as vacancies surged on the month in May.
According to Morgan McKinley's London Employment Monitor for May 2013, job opportunities in London's financial services sector rose from April 2013 to May 2013 by 20%. But compared to May 2012, there were 15% fewer professionals in the hiring market [Chart 1].
Job seeker numbers, comparing May 2012 to May 2013, dropped by 15% [Chart 2].
The average salary change for those moving to new jobs was an 8% increase [Chart 3].
