Vampire Diaries Season 7
Damon asks Stefan to transfer his Phoenix stone wounds to him CW

The Vampire Diaries season 7 is on a month-long hiatus before it airs the finale episode titled Days of Future Past. CW has teased dramatic moments between the Salvatore brothers Damon and Stefan. Vampire Huntress Rayna is behind the brothers and soon she will claim one of the Salvatore vampire's lives.

In the pre-finale, Rayna asked Stefan to transfer his Phoenix stone wounds to Damon in order to save his life. But before the younger Salvatore vampire could assume that the huntress was playing between the brothers, Damon appeared and confessed that it is his plan.

It remains to be seen whether Stefan, who has been through a lot since season 6 of TVD just to keep his family safe, will agree to Rayna's terms and conditions.

Here is the synopsis: In an attempt to make things right with his brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) offers to have Stefan's (Paul Wesley) scar magically transferred to him, only to discover that doing so may come with some unexpected consequences. With time running out and Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) closing in on Stefan, Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) desperately attempts to reason with Damon before it's too late. Elsewhere, after being framed for breaking Rayna out of The Armory, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) attempts to clear his name, but not before a violent run-in with Nora (guest star Scarlett Byrne) forces him to make an upsetting discovery.

Fans have been speculating that Damon may die since he is unable to cope with his life after Elena's deep slumber. Show creator Julie Plec had earlier hinted at a lot of tension between Caroline and Stefan, which itself is a hint that Paul Wesley's character may live longer.

"Do they stay away from these people that used to be their friends, does she go into hiding without him, will they get married, will she ever talk to Stefan again? There's a lot of great, great conflict coming up as we try to figure out if Stefan is going to be able to make things right with her," she told EW.

The fate of the two Salvatore brothers will be revealed in the final episode, which is scheduled to air on 1 April (Friday) on CW network.
