Vampire Diaries season 7 will bring in new and interesting characters to fill the void left by the departure of Nina Dobrev CW

Vampire Diaries season 7 will introduce more bad blood in Mystic Falls when it returns this fall with its first lesbian vampire couple.

TV Line reports that fans will see three new female vampires entering the lives of Damon, Stefan, Alaric and Caroline.

According to the website, CW's supernatural thriller will introduce its first same-sex couple, "Nora and Mary Louise, a dangerous duo of down-low lovers."

Lily Salvatore has already created pandemonium at Mystic Falls by bring her blood thirsty "family" from the prison world. But her herd will not be the only problem in the upcoming season, as the blood-sucking lesbian couple, both of whom are in their mid-20s, will spell doom in the most vicious way at the Falls.

According to the website, the couple have kept their relationship a secret for more than a century now. However, the fiery chemistry between them, allows one to sense the affection they have for each other.

Further, the show will introduce, Valerie, another vampire who is in her 20s. Valerie, will be seen trying to avoid the pain in her life "with a dry sense of humour".

The TV Line report suggests that she may bring some love in Alaric's life, who is reeling with the pain of losing Jo and their unborn twins in the finale of TVD season 6.

Last season Nina Dobrev who played Elena Gilbert left the show and the producers decided to place her in a coma. And Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, is likely to be seen as the big bad villain after the events of season 6. While his brother Stefan, will play an important role in bringing back his brother from his emotional exile post his tragic separation from Elena.

Vampire Diaries season 7 premieres on The CW on 8 October 2015.
