Victoria's Secret, one of the most recognisable U.S. lingerie labels, is making its way to the UK.

The hugely popular American lingerie brand will open a flagship store on New Bond Street in London next year and will eventually launch in shopping malls across the country.

The Victoria's Secret UK expansion was revealed during a webcast yesterday by Martyn R. Redgrave, executive vice president of the label's parent company, Limited Brands Inc.

He told WWD: "The mall-based stores will be large box, A-mall-type units with full assortments, but they're in the UK, not the US, and we have to learn."

Renowned for an annual fashion show and catalogue that features top models, Victoria's Secret has launched the careers of many a supermodel, including Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, said the Mail Online.

As part of a global expansion plan the U.S. lingerie brand is set to open two to three stores in London next summer.

Victoria's Secret is one of the most popularlingerie brands in the U.S. and always appears at the top of the must-visit shops list when tourists visit the States, reports Marie Claire.

A large contribution to the lingerie's popularity is there highly noted extravagant catwalk shows, where the world's hottest models the "Angels" strut their stuff in the store's underwear and huge feathered angel wings.

Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima are just some of the beauties who have modelled for Victoria's Secret.
