The Fast & Furious franchise is going all out to promote the latest installment in the action movie series with new clips and featurettes released regularly. Despite all the adrenaline-junkie style action of The Fate Of The Furious, the steamy kiss shared between baddie Cipher (Charlize Theron) and family man Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) continues to be a hot topic.

The clip from the movie was first released as part of the December trailer and shows Theron and Diesel in a lip-lock right in front of Michelle Rodriguez's character Letty. While fans are still trying to guess if this is simply a ploy of Toretto's to break through Chipher's guard, Diesel has opened up about filming the kiss.

Watch the infamous kiss in the trailer below:

"I was definitely not complaining," the actor told USA Today. "Gary shot that every which way but loose."

When it came to rating the kiss, Diesel seemed a little less generous with his description. "Charlize Theron is not a bad kissing partner to have," he said. "There are worse things that can happen to you."

But he was more confident that Theron herself enjoyed the moment. "Do I know she enjoyed it? Oh, my God, yeah," Diesel told the entertainment website. "A kiss cannot lie, lips don't lie. No, they didn't. She owned it."

The Mad Max actress, who plays a high-tech terrorist in the movie, said the role was especially challenging because her character had to break up the bond between the F&F family. "This is a franchise that has been built for 16 years on this idea of family being kind of the cornerstone... and to play a character that has to kind of break all of that up, it was fun, yeah, and challenging," she said at the Berlin premiere.

Fast & Furious 8 aka The Fate Of The Furious will release in cinemas across the UK on 12 April and in the US on 14 April.
