The Walking Dead Season 5 reaches its midseason finale TheWalkingDeadAMC/facebook

The Walking Dead season 5 midseason finale episode airs tonight, 30 November as the producers promise an hour long emotional roller coaster ride with "edge-of-your-seat tension".

Treat the last few episodes of TWD Season 5 as the calm before the storm because according to latest spoilers, fans will witness a shocking death before the show goes off air for its winter break. Potential spoilers ahead so tread carefully.

Last year's midseason finale featured the deaths of the vicious Governor and the beloved Hershel, "was loud and had a million things going on at once. (Sunday's hour) is a highly emotional episode with some of the most quiet, tense moments we've had with edge-of-your-seat tension. In one second, things change," teases executive producer Scott M. Gimple calling the mid-season finale "a pretty big conclusion to an arc." (via USA Today)

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, the brave and beautiful Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) won't make it through the episode and here's how TSDF put it in their spoiler, which was posted earlier this month: (via Wetpaint).

"We received some information a while back stating the MSF would have a death and would be bloody. Last night we saw Noah escape the hospital as reported. Recently, we stated that Noah would be used as a 'bargaining chip' when the group goes to the hospital for Carol and Beth. Noah 'volunteers' to return to the hospital with Rick's group.

No one finds Beth as a walker. There is a 'standoff' of sorts. She has the choice to leave and has a moment of gumption (or weakness, depending on how you look at it) that leads to her demise. Beth ends up believing that the choice she makes is a necessity in the end. But Beth doesn't envision things ending the way they do. It will be a harrowing moment not only for Beth, but for Daryl, Carol and the others as well.

Scott Wilson was also seen on the hospital set during midseason finale filming, possibly in honour of his TV daughter's last day of filming. And Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) did say he cried for an hour before a particularly tough scene.

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd told E! Online that the episode 8 titled "Coda" will be a bit of a tear-jerker. "I would say it is heartbreaking. It is, I think, completely unexpected and a fantastic way to end the midseason," said Gale. "Kickass, but totally heartbreaking," she added.

The Walking Dead season 5, episode 8 titled 'Coda' will air on Sunday, 30 November at 9pm ET/PT on AMC followed by a new episode of The Talking Dead.
