The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: Death of a Major Character Confirmed?

But rumours of a major character's death might just upset the TWD fans. The death of a beloved character has been reported by the fan group 'The Spoiling Dead', which shares insights from the filming location of the Zombie horror drama.

The popular horror series is infamous for killing off its popular character and piling up the body count.

The news of death in the upcoming season may not be a shock for fans but it might just sadden them. According to a report by 'The Spoiling Dead,' Glenn, the original character from the series, is dead.

The fan group has updated status on their Facebook page which reads:

"We have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday. It's possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn. Reports are the set was locked down and everyone was told the cast would not be coming out."

Another post by the same group reads:

"If they did indeed film Glenn's death (which we are still looking into), my thought would be Glenn dying while getting Beth back. For some Beth returning would be heartwarming with Maggie getting her sister back yet heartbreaking with Maggie losing Glenn."

The fan page went on to add a tweet by Alanna Masterson, strengthening their suspicion. Steven Yeun (Glenn) had reportedly shot his death scene during the end of May.

Meanwhile, show creator Robert Kirkman has promised that the upcoming season of the zombie thriller will be 'different and crazier' than the previous seasons.

The season 4 had ended with a surprise. While no major character was dead the series ended with a cliffhanger as Rick and his friends were shown trapped inside the Terminus, which appears like a dangerous place swarmed by Termites (cannibals).

According to Kirkman's graphic novel, the terminus belongs to the cannibals and the latest comic book suggests that Glenn has died. But the report is not yet confirmed by the show runners or cast members.
