The Walking Dead Season 5 is clearly one of the most eagerly-awaited shows of the year with fans waiting to see how the story unfolds after the explosive season 4 finale.

Actress Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie on the show, knocked the anticipation level up a notch in her latest interview.

During her latest interview with The Walking Dead and More, Cohan spoke about where the fourth season left off and how it might pick up in the premiere this fall when the series returns, reports Enstars.

"I think what's awesome about this one is that we left the group in such turmoil at the end of Season 4," she said.

She then mentioned how fans and viewers are curious to see what transpires in the premiere, which she claims is "so flippin' cool."

"I mean, it was like- you'll see!" she said.

Cohan also gave some details on how the upcoming fifth season will be different from the fourth as it will start off with things going bad right away.

"You know it's bad," she said. "You know basically that it's do or die right now."

She also revealed that the group members have to be resourceful and that some members will show more of a hard-core side to them.

Series showrunner Scott M. Gimple recently told Collider that the fifth season will be more like the comic books:

"It's not mirroring [the previous season] completely...the challenge of the show is every eight episodes, it's a whole new show," he said. "I will say that there may be some slightly familiar structural turns. But for the most part, it is going to be brand new versions of the comic story."

The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere in October 2014 on AMC.
